Guidelines for restaurant re-opening published

Like many public facing businesses restauranteurs have lots to consider as they get ready for the re-opening of their premises later this month.

Failte Ireland has published it’s guidance on measures that need to be introduced in Ireland’s cafes and eateries and there is plenty to consider.

Aside from a supply of hand sanitiser and signage, quite an amount of resources will need to be allocated by the business owner into staff training, and the customer experience will also be radically different.

Many business owners will be concerned that the 2 metre guidance is still in place for the distance between customers which may render many enterprises unviable.

However in response the Restaurants Association of Ireland tweeted ‘we continue to lobby for 1metre & recent statements by Minister for Health @SimonHarrisTD indicate change likely in weeks leading up to 29th June reopening’
